  • Why do I need to take x-rays?

X-rays are useful for detecting cavities, diagnosing periodontal disease, and evaluating the health of your teeth.

  • How does KoR whitening work?

The most efficient whitening results come from combining at-home whitening with in-office treatments. Daily home bleaching for 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the case, enhances the permeability of the teeth, allowing for a more significant effect during the in-office visit.

  • What is a same day crown?

Our office utilizes the CEREC system to create beautiful crowns for your teeth while you wait. Dr. Maher takes photos of your teeth with a special camera, and these images are uploaded to a computer. The computer allows us to fine-tune the shape of your teeth, and it mills your crown from a solid piece of porcelain that matches the shade of your natural teeth. The entire process can typically be completed in one day. Once the crown is bonded to your tooth, you will leave with your teeth restored to their normal functionality.

  • Why should I straighten my teeth?

Straightening your teeth not only enhances the appearance of your smile but also promotes better overall oral health. Crooked teeth can make it difficult to clean properly between them, increasing the risk of decay and cavities, which may lead to periodontal disease or even tooth loss. Additionally, misaligned teeth can place undue strain on certain areas, potentially resulting in wear and tear or fractures.

  • Does Dr. Maher accept my dental insurance?

Dr. Maher accepts most PPO dental insurance plans.
